Brief Description:  Continued riveting bottom skin

Well I continued to rivet the outer bottom skin solo today. After the inner most bay is started and working in the L shape there is a fair amount one can reach solo, but I knew others have done the whole thing solo so I explored how this could be done. What I found worked was reaching from the outside in, you can get to the inner most rivets of the rear spar (that is between ribs) but you can’t make your wrist bend enough to get a bucking bar on the outer most rivets in a bay. If you work in the “L” pattern you can reach up from the forward spar aft and with a long bucking bar get on the rivets that way. You can see what I mean in the photo. So far so good, I am to the point that I can finish the rivets of the first bay which I will start tomorrow.

I actually like riveting solo, you can feel when the gun is on the rivet better, of course I have not tried to rivet with anyone experienced on the gun. It always seems I want to get moving on something, Anita is good on the gun but getting on her schedule is difficult.
