Brief Description: Part I - Clecoed skin for riveting
Well I have been having a lot of fun so far this July but not getting any building done. Just returned from Victoria BC for the weekend and it was beautiful as usual.
I started today getting the wings ready for final riveting. I first set two keeper rivets that will hold the Pitot bracket in place, then I clecoed on the outer bottom skin onto the wing. I had to press the rear spar down some to get the holes lined up but I am happy with the fit. After removing the flaps I did the same to the right wing.
Before I clecoed on the skins I vacuumed out any dust and debris that happened to get down into the leading edges. I then took a snake camera and inspected the interior of the wing to be sure I did not miss anything. The camera is 36” so I could see all the way to the bay before the fuel tank.
