I did not get much done in the shop, I have had other issues to deal with, but I did make a bezel to hold the ELT control head in place. I made the bezel out aluminum and after getting the 4-40 tap, I tapped the thread in the bezel. I put a dab of RTV on the bezel and then screwed the ELT control head in place. Once the RTV dries I should be able to remove the control head and have the bezel remain in place on the back of the console. Looks like April will be a lean month, I only have until Friday before I go back to work for the rest of the month, I am starting to realize that I may not be flying as soon as I hope.
I did get some great news; a builder named Luca who I meet last summer has done his first engine start and some taxi testing. Luca lives in Italy and I was able to make a visit and see his plane on a layover last summer. It is really motivating when you are building to hear about others getting ready to fly!
