O.K., I really couldn't understand why the plans would tell you the machine CS the skins. The skins? Everything I have learned at this point tells me that the skin material is too thin to machine CS. I posted the question to the Matronics group, and Randy DeBauw confirmed that he did his this way with no problem. I tested it on material of similar thickness, and while I am concerned about it - it does seem to work O.K. I'll tackle that step this coming weekend. I had my wisdom teeth taken out today...so I'm not up to the task tonight.
