Thanks for visiting my construction log of N104BS, a Van's Aircraft RV-10.

So why did I choose to build?

After several years of renting 20+ year old "Spam cans" with worn out interiors, nonfunctional avionics, questionable maintenance, and always feeling the pressure to get the aircraft back in time for the next renter I decided that I wanted to own my own aircraft. After looking at the industry publications and finding that I could spend major $$$ for the same I became discouraged thinking aircraft ownership was out of reach.

I had been a member of the EAA for many years but knew that building anything with less than four seats wouldn't gain the support of my family. That all changed when Van's Aircraft offered what I believe to be the best four place kit aircraft on the market, the RV-10

The RV-10 uses traditional aluminum construction methods that are easily learned by a novice builder such as myself. The manufacturer has a stellar reputation for support and financial stability. They also offer a quick build option reducing the time it would take for me to get in the air. I not only get to oversee the quality control over every nut, bolt, and rivet, I continue my aviation education in a way that most general aviation pilots will never experience. And of course the most appealing factor of all - the airplane is built in phases that allow me to pay cash as I go and in the end not owe a dime on a completed airplane!

So feel free to browse my log and ask questions. The sport aviation community is a group of people whom I believe to be the most generous and friendly folks you'll ever meet. MYKITLOG.com is a way for us to share our passion for aviation on the WEB.

Now...turn off that TV and go build something!!!
