Brief Description: New Marks C-FBXO

Back in August 2015, after my pre-cover inspection was carried out by the government reprentative, I received my registration marks C-GMKR for a $50 fee. Actually what I got was a reservation for those marks for one year, in which time I was supposed to finish the build and get the plane's Certificate of Registration and Final Inspection completed.
Anyway, as the build lapsed, so did my marks' reservation.
As C-GMKR was no longer available I scoured the available marks at the Transport Canada website and was tickled to find C-FBXO. From my build log 11 Oct 2015:
"Early on in the build I started thinking about the paint scheme that "Spirit of Mackenzie" will wear. My first idea was to honour one of British Columbia's founding airlines, Queen Charlottes Airlines, which operated an ecletic seaplane fleet of Supermarine Stranraers, Wacos, Norsemen, Dragon Rapides, Stinsons and finally Catalinas (Cansos) over 50 years ago. I found a company in England that sold me a set of decals for a scale model 'Strannie' (The Flying Shithouse) and that was the first idea to go up on the hangar wall."
The model decals and also the the model plane (displayed in Vancouver Airport - South Terminal) in the photo below were for "Alaska Queen" with registration CF-BXO. After retiring, this plane ended up in the Royal Air Force Museum London restored to its original military paint scheme and marks.
So I am happy to say that Transport Canada has granted my request for the modern version of these marks. The "Spirit of Mackenzie" will now be registered as C-FBXO, assuming I get her airborne by November 2021. Note: the marks reservation fee has gone up from $50 to $140 in 5 years!
