Brief Description: Attaching the Upper Firewall Assembly
Smeared a thin layer of fuel tank sealant on the upper surface of the bottom flange of the F-01201A-1. Riveted the Upper Firewall Assembly to the fuselage per figure 1 page 29iS/U-04 skipping the outboard two holes marked as DO NOT RIVET using LP4-3 Rivets. Dimpled 2 K1000-3 nutplates at the rivet holes. Match drilled #30 the F-12116-L-1 & -R-1 to the F-1201P-L & -R and F-01270-L-1 & -R-1 per figure 1 detailed view same page. Deburred all parts. Riveted the F-12116-L-1 & -R-1 to the F-1201P-L & -R and the F-01270-L-1 & -R-1 per figure 1 same page using LP4-3 rivets.
Separated the F-1202N-1 and F-1295 into -L & -R parts per figure 2 same page. Filed and deburred. Applied a bead of fuel tank sealant to the underside of the F-01201B-1 where the F-01201B-1 meets the fuselage side skins. Riveted the F-1202N-L-1 & -R-1 to the F-1270-L-1 & -R-1 per figure 1 same page using LP4-3 rivets. Riveted the F-1295-L & -R to the F-1270-L-1 & -R-1 and the F-01201B-1 per same figure using LP4-3 rivets.
Sealed the firewall with fuel tank sealant: applied a bead of fuel tank sealant around the perimeter of the F-01201A and the F-01201C-1 aft sides and used a light on the forward sidw to verify a complete seal.
