Brief Description: Starting the Right Wing Tip Close Out
Riveted the W-1204B Wing Tip Aft Skin and the W-1204A-R Wing Tip Forward Skin to the wing as shown in figure 3 page 17-05.
Riveting the W-1204F-R Aft Wing Tip Rib to the W-1204A-R Wing Tip Fwd Skin and W-1204B Wing Tip Aft Skin as shown in Figure 4 same page. Fluted the W-1204E-R Fwd Wing Tip Rib so that it matched the outboard edge of the W-1204A-R Wing Tip Fwd Skin. Then Riveted the fwd wing tip rib to the wing tip fwd skin and W-1204F-R Aft Wing Tip Rib per figure 5 same page.
Used the bending tool to bend the tabs of one of the W-1204D Wing Tip Close-Outs per figure 2 same page.
Dimpled the two rivet holes in the W-1204D-R for the nutplate show in figure 2 same page and installed a K1000-08D nutplate using 2 AN426AD3-3.5 rivets.
Installed a snap bushing SB375-4 into the 3/8 hole drilled into the W-1204D-R in 40iS/U-02 and Fed the L6310 (WHT) nav/pos/strobe wire through the snap bushing.
Cleco'ed the W-1204D-R Wing Tip Close-Out to the wing as shown in figure 3 same page and verified the fit adjusting the bend angles as necessary, then riveted the close out to the wing leaving open the three holes marked in 40iS/U-02.
Cleco'ed the W-1204H-R Wing Tip Trailing Edge to the W-1204D-R Wing Tip Close Out and to the W-1213-R Tip Rib. Using a metal straight edge and clamped it to the top of the W-1204B Wing Tip Aft Skin as shown in figure 4 page 17-06. Match drilled #30 the wing tip trailing edge to the wing tip aft skin and Riveted the wing tip trailing edge to the wing tip aft skin, wing tip tip rib, and wing tip close out.
