Brief Description: Continue the left landing light
Machine Coutersunk the rivet holes in all four W-1223E Lens Backing Strips at all nutplate attach locations. Riveted 4 each K1000-06 nutplates to each of four W-1223E using 2 AN426AD3-3.5 rivets per nutplate.
Positioned the W-1223E Lens Backing Strip on the W-00014 as shown in Figure 3 page 40iS/U-03 and used the edge to mark for trimming. Then trimmed per figure 3 same page. Radiused the edges and smoothed the edges with sand paper. Deburred the inside of the screw holes.
Using a step drill, enlarged the tooling holes in the W-1223B Landing Light Ribs to 3/8 per figure 1 page 40iS/U-04 on both W-1223B Landing Light Ribs. Separated the parts into two each W-1223B-L and -R's.
Fluted the W-1223B-L &-R's between the holes so that the flange rivet holes aligned to the wing skins and verified that an AN3 bolt easily slides in the slot. Set 1 W-1223B-L and 1 -R aside for the right wing.
Machine Countersunk both W-1223C doublers for AN426AD3-4 rivets. Deburred the slot in each W-1223C with a file making sure an AN3 could slide easily. Riveted a W-1223C doubler on W-1223B-L and on W-1223B-R using 7 each AN426AD3-4 rivets.
Installed a snap bushing SB375-4 to the W-1223B-L & -R per figure 2 same page.
Inserted the female Molex socket of the L215 (BLK) into a male Molex connector housing at pin 1 showin in the same figure and per Wiring schematic on Page 40is/U-05. Attached the ring terminal of the L215 (BLK) to the W-1223B-R using 1 AN515-8R8 Screw, 1 NAS1149FN832P Washer, and 1 AN365-832A Nut as per figure 2 same page.
