I have been planning to paint the airplane to look somewhat like Lt. Col Roy Caviness' P-51D from the 78th Fighter Group/84th Fighter Wing from Duxford, England - hence my N number is N784DE.
Danny King's airplane 'Beautiful Doll' is noted in the previous post from 2007. Recently another -8 has come on the scene with a similar design and polished 'High Cotton', which is what I planned to do to mine from the beginning - see pic 3. I believe he may be a cropduster from down South - his airplane is a real beauty and has served as an inspirational screen saver for months.
My paint scheme is really not very accurate and can be best described as 'inspired by' Roy's P-51D.
