Brief Description: Started assessing Firewall Forward components
Previously I unpacked and assessed the items in the firewall forward kit - there are lots of parts to assess! -Located the sensor manifold and drilled the mounting holes using the position noted for the O-320/O-360 installation rather than the IO-360 version since my firewall penetrations are in the way. Also I save wait as no stiffer is required behind the firewall. I can't mount the manifold until the fittings are attached and I don't have all them for some reason in the FWF kit. - I also looked over where the air/oil separator for the inverted oil system will go - more work to do here. -I also did some preliminary work on where the fuel flow transducer will live - I have no clue - more research on this too. -Looked over the cabin heat mixer and yes I order the stainless steel version and yes it is different from stock so again I'm on my own to figure it out which is no biggee, but does take longer.
I would summarize this as a head scratchin' session....
