Brief Description:  Wire routing #1

Now that I have some basic components installed, such as some of the switches, lights, etc. I needed to get the wire routing within the airplane straight in my head. I had to make some fundamental decisions especially with wires that needed to go through the center section as I don't have unlimited routing holes and I still haven't decided where the smoke oil tank is going to live which will need one of the 4 holes I have to choose from. I ended up changing some of the conduit routing based on this morning's cognitation. This process took over 2 hrs of just staring into the fuselage making notes and tracing the complete routing of everything aft of the spar so I could sort out the exact paths.
I drilled holes in the side of the fuselage at the wing root to let the nav/landing-taxi light/pitot heat exit the airplane.
I then routed the nav light wires, landing-taxi light wires, and pitot heat wires from their respective switches to their exit points in the fuselage. I also drilled a hole for a wire bundle in the bottom of the right gear tower. So far I'm pretty happy with the architecture.

Some of my assumptions
1) ergonomics comes first. I will not put switches in a location to simplify the wiring. It will be located to allow for most convenient operation.
2) keep wiring away from the fuel systems especially junctions. Knowing this isn't always possible or practical I have keep most of the wiring on the right side of the aircraft and devoted the left side to the fuel system. All of the wires for components aft of the spar will go along the right side of the fuselage. The main feeder wire from the battery will also travel under the floor on the right side.
3) keep wiring out of sight as much as possible.
