Well I opened up the previously floxed slits and created some new ones. This time I left the canopy in the closed position and taped the heck out of the edges and put a ply of glass along the upper part of the slits. Came back this afternoon and removed the peel ply and it definately helped but a couple of spots still need work. I'll probably cut more localized slits and throw some more glass at it. I didn't take a picture of the 'after' as the camera really doesn't capture the gap, it's probably 3/16" or less. If I can get it down to a 1/16" or less I'll be happy. We'll see how patient I am.
