-Finished screwing the wing tips on -Put on the cowling -Fixed a hydraulic fluid leak on the right brake. Fitting at the bottom of the gear leg wasn't snug enough. Had to remove the wheel pant and fwd baggage shelves to fix and refill/bleed the brakes. Tech Counselor Jim Baldwin came over to weigh the airplane now that I have it all put together for that purpose. Luckily some friends from work stopped by to chat and we put them to work helping on the weighing - thanks Dave and Matt! It's about what I expected for how I'm equiped and the CG is more aft than Van's examples in the plans which is good. I have to do some analysis to determine if anything needs to be moved or ballast added. Empty weight is 1144. With a gross weight of 1800lbs that leaves a useful load of 656. Full fuel is 252 so that leaves 404 for pax and luggage - not terrible. I weigh 165 so that leaves 239lbs for 2nd pax and baggs with full gas.
