I'm trying to get things done that will allow me to rivet the top fwd fuse skin on so I can do the glass work around the windshield. First stop - anything going through the firewall. Today was throttle/mixture/prop cables -Used the template supplied with the eyeball grommets to drill all the holes for the 3 cables in the stainless - not particularly fun -Drilled out the eyeballs to the proper ID for an interferance fit with the cables -Installed the eyeballs with the cables as a test fit -Opened up the holes in the left gear tower to allow #8 grommets for the 3 cables
I noticed my governor bracket will need to be rotated clockwise one one hole to allow the cable to reach - that'll be the next project.
Throttle / mixture and prop cables
Lots of holes
Paper template worked good for the center hole, but wan't too accurate with the outer holes
