-Countersunk the nutplate rivet holes on the top of the center section for the guide brackets for the rear rudder pedals. I used a new trick for priming these countersinks. I put masking tape over the whole area and then used the micro stop countersink that I just used to countersink the holes and took the tape off where the holes are that I want to prime. Works great. -Located and drilled the holes in the guide brackets that match the top of the center section - watch out for the plans as the Rear Rudder Pedal plans show 2 nutplates, one standard and one with the screw hole in the far end. The -1 fuselage kit is predrilled for 2 standard nutplates, not one standard and one non-std. Didn't cause too much problem except I didn't see it until I drilled the left side so that errant nutplate caused the screw holes to not be on the centerline of the flange - not too noticable except I know its there. The right side is correct. -Then I installed the nutplates on the top of the centersection. -Then I located the holes that attach the guide brackets to the F880 seat ramp supports. I drilled the holes and installed the nutplates. -Then I permenantly mounted the idler brackets on the base of the gear towers and torque locked them (orange).
Almost done with this little mod.
Using my new masking method for c/s. See the contrast below vs the old 'tape off a square' method
The silver brackets on top of the gold center section are the guide brackets.
