Worked on the up elevator stop today. Measure the elevators at neutral or zero degrees travel. Then I removed the stop and started trimming the aft deck skin since it contacts the elevator horn first- thanks to Jeff Preou for this tip from his kitlog website. Once I trimmed off about 1/4" I had the required 30 degrees of up elevator travel. The elevator horn is very very close to the F812 bulkhead but not touching. I then temporarily installed the stop and marked it to match the aft deck skin. Then I trimmed it on the bandsaw and finished it on the 3M wheel and finally re-primed the stop.
Also this marks exactly 900hrs total since I started 2 yrs and 4 months ago.
