-Located the teflon blocks that the engagement pins anchor to. Spent and inordinate amount of time on this and finally figured out the holes provided weren't opened up to the proper size. Once I did that things went smoother. Strapped the door down and marked the blocks for drilling. Drilled them per the plans and c/s for flush screws. Attached them to the airframe. Riveted the hinge to the fusealge and reinstalled everything. The door 'bulges' slightly around the midpoint and I noticed other builders with the same result. Some tweaking is in order prior to paint.
I still need to put in the closed cell foam around the hinge and order and install the strut.
