Shifted gears this morning and went to work on mounting the flaps to the wings. I was in aircraft training (6 month recurrent) all week so I didn't get anything done on the plane and I'm feeling more than a little guilty. I didn't get much done, spent most of the time scratching my head and trying to figure out how to attach the flaps to line up properly with the ailerons both at the trailing edge and spacing between the flap and aileron and not screw up the edge distance (as has been done by builders before me).
I layed out the hinge and marked a line for reference based on my buddy Mike Cencula's RV-7 flap hinge installation and then hung the left flap using tie-down straps to verify the dimension, etc.
