Brief Description:  Pitot Tube Installation #5

I am jumping around between the skins and the pitot tube system to keep things rolling toward the ultimate skinning of the bottom of the wings.

I thought it would be good to get the pitot tube air line connected before putting the bottom skin on so I started fitting the mast and the actual pitot tube and I'm glad I did - the gretz aero tube didn't fit as good as I would like (too tight) and the screw holes didn't line up well. I had to take some material off of my Falcon pitot tube to get it to slide into the mast and I had to relieve the mast holes to allow the screws to line up. Luckily the chrome stayed intact. I also found some 1/4 AN fittings from the fuselage kit that I borrow for the pitot tube air line. I slid the fitting on the line after trimming off the end and flared with my rolo-flare tool. I believe I have the bulk of the fitment and detail issues behind me on this system. I left a service loop in the line so could slide it through the mast and attach to the pitot tube.
