In preparation for closing out the fuel tanks, I had several items to do and re-check. I rechecked the orientation and location of all the Z brackets. I had to deburr them since I hadn't yet. I then ground down my pop-riveter so it would clear the web on the Z brackets (don't want to find out it doesnt fit with ProSeal drying). I then torqued the pickup tube I had fabricated for the right tank and then riveted the safety retainer on to the inspection cover. Instead of using the -4 universal rivets I used -3 flush rivets due to the confines of the space (not sure how I would install those big rivets around that B nut). This ment I had to countersink the inspection cover. I put ProSeal on the bracket before riveting it on and wet set the rivets followed by application on the shop head of more sealant. I still have a little more to do before I can close em' out, but the list is getting shorter.
Orienting and remarking the Z brackets so there are no screwup - I was warned!
Grinding down my pull riveter to allow access to rivet the Z brackets.
