This will be the first entry of the long process of prepping the skins and skeleton for the riveting on of the wing skins. This morning I deburred all of the ribs and both spars (inside and out). I also dimpled several ribs with the hand squeezer and experimented with counter-sinking the spar so the skin dimples set flush (can't dimple due to the thinkness so countersinking is the order of business). Nothing hard, other than fighting with the microstop on my countersink for :20minutes to get the setting just right. It is actually one of the more boring areas of the build and on the wings, there is alot of it to do - deburring (both sides of each hole for each piece of metal), dimpling or countersinking, scuff, & prime. All this before a single skin rivet gets set. I plan to break up the monotony by doing one section at at time. There are two large pieces of skin for each surface and the wings have a top and bottom surface, so I plan to do it like that so I don't have to deburr for 10hrs straight, I can break it up.
