Finished riveting the right wing leading edge. Everything went well and I was happy with all the rivets. I then moved on to the fuel pickup on the right fuel tank. I borrowed a flaring tool from Mike Cencula (RV-7A in progress) so I attempted to flare my already fabricated pickup tube, unfortunately the AN sleeve that goes on with the nut wouldn't slide down onto the tube far enough to get the flaring tool on, so I fab another one with the sleeve and nut already in place and flared before I bent it to the shape required (see photos).
The most forward rivets were the hardest, but not impossible (the top skin was worse - more curve).
View from the inside. Easy compared to the horizontal stab rivets IMHO (less room & experience)
Newly fabricated pickup tube flared and ready to go.
