Brief Description:  Fuel tank assembly

Cleco'd the ribs and rear baffle into the skins for the left and right fuel tanks this morning. (5:36am start time). Here's a good example of the learning curve that happens. Out of the 2:24 minutes I worked on the tanks, I spent 1:30 on the first tank (left one) and :54 minutes fitting up the right one. So it is almost always easier the 2nd time around. Keep this in mind if you are building and are frustrated. I have heard many folks complain about fitting the ribs into the tank skins, but I found it to be just like the leading edges. I used a differnet technique from the planes. Instead of trying to start the cleco's at the leading edge, I started at the first hole I could align and worked my way forward - MUCH EASIER! With match-hole construction I can't see how that order you cleco will make any difference, the holes are already located permenately on both the ribs and the skin.
