Finished riveting the main ribs to the spar this morning. Also cleco'd the rear spar on to the main ribs so I can go back and squeeze those next session. No major boo boo and it went pretty smooth. I am really enjoying this work! I had to buck two rivets using the normal method due to space issues (couldn't get my still block into the area between rib#1 and the nut plates that are attached in that area. Amazingly I still remember how to do that too.
Alternate riveting method using the steel "buck bar" stationary on the bench - works great!
More riveting -note you can just see the steel block I am using as a bucking bar - not the wood.
Doing it the "normal" way with rivet gun and bucking bar.
