Brief Description: Elevators - trim tab and leading edge bending
I need to make room for fuselage parts so I went back to the elevators which I didn't quit finish last winter. I needed to fabricate a new trim tab (long story see previous entries from 2007). Also I never closed out the leading edge of the elevators - pain in the butt. I purchased ribs from Vans to canibalize for riblets vs the fold over closeouts on the trim tab. I trimmed the folder pieces off of the new trim tab and primed. While it was drying I started bending the left elevetor leading edge - only partially done - more to do on this tomorrow.
Trimming the folder over closeouts from the new trim tab.
Primed.
Taped on a broom hander (per the plans) to roll the leading edges down - not a fun process.
