Well I couldn't sleep so I was out in the shop around 330am. Leaving where I left off on the frustrating task of bending the leading edges of the elevators. I pushed, smashed, and tweaked, but the left one wasn't too pretty. I ended up using a short section of pipe and doing sections of it at a time on the right one and that worked better but not perfect. I wouldn't be suprised if I built another left elevator down the road - probably not. :( I actually went back and tried to re-roll the left elevator with my new pipe a section at a time and it didn't help much, the metal was already conforming to my poor first attempts and wouldn't yield properly. I am happy to have them cleco'd together and ready to drill out and rivet though!
