Brief Description: Elevator / Horizontal Stab Tips
More work on the elevator and horizontal stabilizer tips today . -Trimmed and contoured the L/R elevator tips at the nose section of the horn (this will get glassed when I install per the plans) -Trimmed the horizontal stabilizer (HS) tips to fit. -Match drilled the elevator tips -Layed out the hole location for the HS tips (I decided to make these removeable incase I want to install a camera or something in one or both tips). -Drilled the holes for the HS tips into the HS skin. -Match drilled those holes to the HS tips -Fabricated a metal backing strip for the nutplates that will go in the HS tips -Drilled the HS tip and backing strips for nutplates (Left only) -C/S the rivet and screw holes in the left HS tip -Deburred the left HS tip and backing plates (top and bottom)
