Started out by carefully measuring, tweaking and scratching my head, but finally drilled the ramaining 4 holes that are called for in the plans to attach the side rails to the fuselage. The remaining aft two holes are done after the canopy frame is tweaked in the back (see pic 1). That only took alittle muscle power and a couple of iterations (10 minutes total). Then I put the canopy back on and drilled the two aft hole using the holes in the cockpit side rails (kinda tricky drilling them from below). -I then drilled out the holes to #12 for the #8 screws. -Removed everything and deburred the holes and edges -Removed the extra bit of the rails that hangs over the fuselage per the plans (used 3M wheel on the bench grinder). -Screwed them on to the airplane (permenantly).
