Brief Description: Control System Installation #13
The saga continues with the following: -Removed the Vertical Stabilizer to gain access to the elevator controls in the tail. -Removed the elevators -Trimmed the tip of the Horizontal Stab to allow full elevator movement -Reinstalled the elevators with the proper shims -Temporarily hooked up the long pushrod that connects to the elevator horn. I'm definately getting better at dealing with all those washers that go on the rod end. My buddy Mike gave me a great tip last night to use dental floss to string together the assorted spacers and washer when you are trying to install a rodend into a bracket, but I haven't used it yet - would have been great on the bellcrank yesterday though!
Marked the part of the HS that needs trimmed. Drilled a hole to create the proper radius.
Here it is just roughed in with the elevator installed (the gray is the elev horn).
