Much warmer today - up to 20F but the heaters could keep up and the garage was up to 40F in no time. I started hacking away at the raw stock that would hopefully become the F864E-1 cable anchor bracket. I started this time drilling the holes first that way I could easily clamp everything down (not so easy after you cuts away the flanges, etc - ask me how I know!) Next I made the big cut to separate the bracket from the chunk of angle with a big cut-off saw, then it was onto the bandsaw and grinder to finish the work. Turned out fine! Once that was done, I match drilled it per the plans to the throttle quadrant mount and then tapped the holes for 8-32 screws. Then opened up the quadrant mount holes to #19 for the screws. I then prepped everything for priming but it's still snowing on and off, so that will have to wait.
Drilling the 1/2" holes called out for in the plans.
