Brief Description: Polishing bottom of left wing #1
-Not all this time was spent polishing. I had to install the inspection covers and tape off stuff I didn't want polish on. One of the inspection covers didn't have the nutplates installed so I had to drill and rivet the nutplates in place. -Then there was the learning curve on compounding, which is the first step in polishing. I think I have a good process now as far as how much polishing compound, how fast to move the buffer, how big of an area to work, etc. Unfortunately I'm only about a 1/4 of the way through compounding the bottom of this wing. Once that is done then I can polish it with a finer grade and the cyclo polisher.
It takes considerable time to 'condition' the metal the first time, then it's progressively easier to polish and maintain.

On my way. The swirls will come out with the cyclo orbital polisher.
