Brief Description: Drill 0.050 Aluminum Camloc Strip to Firewall
Today I started working on replacing the hinge that joins the top cowl to the firewall. The first step was to drill the center 4" wide 0.050 aluminum strip to the firewall. This was a bit of challenge because the dimpled firewall and top skin prevented the strip from laying flat against the firewall flange. I'll have to countersink the strip to accommodate the dimpled flange.
