Brief Description: Found Problem with Audio (Receiving)
After double-checking my Comm antenna cable and the wiring for the Audio Panel and Comm radio I decided to send my used SL40 up to Matt to have him take it to his avionics guy Dennis to check everything out. I didn't think the receiver problem would be related to my wiring since I'm using the Approach System's pre-made and tested harnesses.
Anyway, Matt and Dennis called today and said my radio checked out fine and that the problem must be related to the wiring. Dennis said to double check pins 9 and 10 on the J1 connector of the GMA-340 audio panel as well as pins 13 and 14 on the SL40 comm connector. Sure enough when I pulled out the J1 connector from the audio panel, pin #9 was bent upwards - no audio.
Glad to finally find the problem! Now I'll have to wait for my radio to be shipped back to me before I can test out the fix.
