Brief Description:  Screw SL40 Backplate to Tray; Install Antenna

I had to remove the SL40 tray from the panel in order to attach the backplate. The tray was just too deep to reach in from the front to screw on the backplate. I didn't have a #1 phillips screwdriver that was long enough. With the tray removed from the panel/subpanel, I could reach in through the top and bottom of the tray to screw the backplate on.

I received my order from aircraft spruce today for some brass nuts and 100 degree tapered screws. The nuts will be used to attach the Dynon EDC-D10A remote compass / bracket and I needed the countersunk screws to attach the Comant bent-whip comm antenna. Steven helped me install the antenna by holding the screws with a phillips head screwdriver from underneath while I climbed in the plane and tightened up the nuts.

I also wired the power and ground leads. I ran the power from the E-bus.
