Today I sanded the engine where I decided to bolt the braided ground strap. I decided to mount it to a flat surface that had an open bolt hole right next to the oil filler / dipstick tube. The strap runs very close to the engine mount. It doesn't touch it but I decided to wrap that area of the engine mount with silicone tape just in case. The other end of the engine grounding strap was bolted to the forrest-of-tabs grounding stud on the firewall that has another braided grounding strap that connects to the negative side of the battery.
