Brief Description:  Pickup Engine from PJAX Terminal

It was 3 weeks ago today since my engine shipped from AeroSport Power in Kamloops, BC Canada and it finally arrived. I had been calling the shipping company (Vitran Express) daily for the last week or so and they kept giving me a different story about where it was. They said it was mis-routed to Montreal, that it had problems going through customs, etc,,,but when I called AeroSport Power I found out that there had been a Rail strike in Canada which was the real reason for the long delay.

I was sooo excited when I finally got the call that it was at the PJAX terminal around the corner and ready for pickup. Too bad we had to get one of our heaviest snowfall's of the season today as well. It was in the 70's earlier in the week and I had already put away the snow shovels in the shed.

It took all of 5 minutes for the folks at PJAX to load the crate in my van with a forklift. What a relief that it is finally here safe and sound and sitting in my van. The aroma of wood and engine oil is the best air-freshener a vehicle could have.

As soon as I got home I called my brother Matt in Rochester, NY and let him know. He said he was on his way!!! I told him to sit tight until tomorrow since the storm should clear around mid-night and we would still have plenty of time this weekend to get my engine in the basement and hang it on the plane but there was no pursuading him. He was too excited and said there are just some things more important to let weather stand in the way.
