Brief Description:  Drill Holes for Toggle Switches

Today I drilled all of the holes for the B&C toggle switches that I will be using in my panel.First I made two templates out of 0.063 strips of aluminum. I decided I'll have the switches 1" on center. This will allow room for 7 switches on each side of the parking brake T-handle. The upper row of #30 holes is for the anti-rotation tabs that are on all of the washers supplied with the B&C switches. My plan is to rivet these strips to the back of the panel so the anti-rotation holes aren't visible through the panel. Granted, these could be covered with the labels for each switch but I decided to hide everything in the back instead. For now, here is my plan:Left cluster:1.) Bat/Alt - 2-10 switch2.) Alt field breaker - 5 amp Klixon breaker3.) Fuel pump/primer - 2-50 switch4.) E-Bus alternate feed - 1-3 switch5.) Skip6.) Avionics fan/defrost - 2-10 switch7.) Panel lights - 1-3 switchRight cluster:1.) Taxi lights - 1-3 switch2.) Landing lights - 1-3 switch3.) Wig wag - 2-3 switch4.) Position lights - 1-3 switch5.) Strobe lights - 1-3 switch6.) Skip7.) FlapsOnce I had the two template strips made I clecoed these to the panel and used the lower row of holes as a guide to drill the initial #30 holes for each switch/breaker. I then used a unitbit to enlarge the holes to 15/32" for the switches and 7/16" for the breaker.
