Brief Description:  Bolt Canopy Frame to F705 Bulkhead

Bolting the canopy frame attach angles to the F705 should have been a piece of cake but turned out to be a real pain for me. The first problem I had was getting the bolts in. I'm not sure where I went wrong when drilling these, but I had to insert the two right bolts and then call Daisy down to hold the fuselage while I put all my weight and strength into pulling the left end into place. Easier said than done. That frame is STIFF! With her help I as able to spread the ends apart the needed 1/8" to get the left bolts in. Installing the washers and nuts on the left bolts wasn't a problem. Not so with the right bolts. I drilled the two 1/4" holes too close to each other. The only way I could think of getting around the problem was to install one of the bolts upside down and to use a little longer bolt. The longer bolt allowed me to use 2 washers in order to seat the nut above the head of the adjacent bolt in order to be able to turn the nut with a wrench.
