Brief Description: Fabricate/Install Center Clip for Plexiglass
The plans indicate that you can fabricate some small clips to help secure the forward edge of the canopy to the frame. Now that the plexiglass is permanently screwed to the frame, the center portion of the leading edge fits nicely against the top skin of the frame. However, the sides are raised about 1/4" above the skin. When I push the sides down, the center section raises up so I decided to add the clips. I think I will end up making 3 clips, one for the center and one for each side. I made the center one today from a small strip of 0.040 aluminum and pop riveted it to the top skin. The bend in the clip is kind of an S bend that holds the plexiglass down nicely when I push down on the sides. I'll fabricate the side clips tomorrow.
