Today I masked off the canopy frame in order to paint the interior dash board before permanently installing the plexiglass. Once I had everything masked off I used a scotchbrite pad to scratch up the shiny aluminum dash. I then cleaned it with Acetone, primed with Rustoleum primer, and top coated with Rustoleum flat black enamel. I was pissed that the flat black spewed drops of paint but there is nothing I can do at this point. I'll see how it looks after it dries and decide then if I will sand the paint off and redo with something else.
