Brief Description:  Clamp Backing Strips to Top Skin; Create Drill Jig

Today I deburred the edges of the two backing strips that I made for the rear window and then I clamped these to the contour of the top skin. I need to match drill the #27 holes in the skin to the backing strips. I decided to make a simple drill jig to try to prevent buggering up the holes in the top skin while drilling these holes. The skin is thin and the holes relatively large. My jig just consists of a 1/8" piece of aluminum with a #27 hole in it. I'll center the jig over the hole using the back of a #27 drill bit through the jig and top skin, clamp the jig in place, and then drill through the backing strip. This should keep the drill bit centered and straight and not enlarge the holes in the skin.
