Brief Description: Clamp/Drill C614 Splice Plate to Frame
Once the canopy frame fit the fuselage fairly well, I measured the rivet pattern on the C614 splice plate and predrilled it on the workbench. I then clamped it to the canopy frame and used a 12" #40 drill bit to match drill the canopy frame halves to the splice plate. Whew,,,definitely a lot of work just to get to this sucker drilled,,,and I'm only just beginning the canopy!
