Brief Description:  Crappy Canopy Fit to Fuselage Photo's for Matt - 5

These final two shots show the forward foot or so of the canopy rails bowed outward and upward, which is why the canopy fit is so poor.I sent all of these pictures to Matt who said it wasn't as bad as I thought and could all be fixed with fiberglass. I felt a little better but not much. All I see ahead is a lot of fiberglass work as well as adding a bunch of weight. The only thing I can think of where I might have gone wrong was in drilling and riveting the center of the welded canopy frame together and/or perhaps needing to bend the side rails down and in. All hindsight at this pointMatt will be coming down in a couple of weeks since Mikhail will be flying home from BWI now that the summer is coming to a close. He said he would be down a couple of days early to help me fix everything up with fiberglass adn Mikhail could play with his cousins before heading home.In the meantime, I keep thinking about how I can bend the front corners of the canopy frame down and in at this point. Everything is completely rigid with the frame riveted, the bubble installed, and the front fiberglassed to the frame. I'm wondering if a couple of come-along straps would do the trick or if the risk of cracking the canopy or fiberglass would be too great.
