Brief Description: Crappy Canopy Fit to Fuselage Photo's for Matt - 1
I was so excited about how well the fiberglass work came out on the front of the canopy after coming home from New York that I couldn't wait to install the canopy on the fuselage to see how it looked. Talk about having going from elation to depression. After working with Matt all last week I thought I could do anything with fiberglass on my own. Yeah right, boy was I brought down a notch or two.The canopy fits like crap onto the fuselage. And even worse, I have no idea how this can be fixed even with fiberglass. Both front corners stick up and out from the fuselage anywhere from 1/4 to 3/8 of an inch. Plus there is a huge gap along both side rails that you can see in some of the subsequent pictures.I tried to explain all of the problems to Matt but he needed some pictures to help him visualize what was going on. So this and the next several entries outline all of the problem areas.
