I spent today cussing and struggling with the 3/8" tubing that runs from the fuel selector valve to each wing tank. What a pain it was fishing this stuff through the brackets on the spar, through the main gear mounts, and finally making the bend through the rubber grommets on the side of the fuselage. My fingers are sore. This was an exercise in patience and brute force. The tubing would move maybe a millimeter at a time and then require a small bend before moving another millimeter. It took a ton of time and grunting to get it through. I inserted some clear tubing over the aluminum tubing to protect it whenever it ran too close to something like the holes in the main gear mounts. Once the wings are off I'll slide the tubing out a bit further since the tank ends are a bit mangled from whole process. I measured the distance needed between the fuselage and tank fitting and wrote this measurement on the fuselage for later reference. Am I ever glad this is done for now!
