Brief Description:  Lift Plane / Install Landing Gear

The nose gear was a different story. I had a heck of a time getting the gear to slide all the way up into its mount. The problem was that I had never sanded the inside of the tube for the nose gear like I had done for the mains. There was a step way back in the plans for the mains that included inserting the gear into their respective mounts on a workbench and match-reaming the holes for the AN5 bolts using a 0.311 reamer. There was no mention of this for the nose gear and I had never thought about it until it was too late. I couldn't budge the nose gear forward or back to remove it. All I can say is that it took many brute force twisting attempts, lots of LP2 lubricant, and lots of rest in between each attempt before I was finally able to push / screw the nose gear leg up far enough into the mount to be able to line up the holes. The AN5 bolt would not fit so I used the 0.311 reamer to clean everything up, inserted the bolt and breathed a sigh of relief!
