Brief Description: Install Bearings; Hang Rudder on VS
I pulled the rudder down from the rafters and dusted it off. Then I installed the three bearings with the depths listed in the Plan's as a starting point and trial fit the rudder to the VS. This was also very iterative. I had to take the rudder on and off several times to adjust the depths of bearings such that the upper arm of the rudder was parallel with the top of the VS and such that front edge of the rudder was parallel to the rear spar of the VS. Once everything was straight and parallel and the rudder was free to move without binding, I removed the rudder and torqued the bearings in place. I then put the rudder back on in order to work on the rudder stops.
