Brief Description: Rudder Finished and Compared to Old
Check out how much larger the new RV-9 rudder is over the old RV-7 rudder. I think it turned out much better than my first rudder. Maybe my skills are improving with time. I ended up placing the old rudder outside on the gravel next to my shed. This will be a low tech experiment. I want to see how quickly it will corrode being out in the weather with only the skeleton primed. It'll be interesting to see if the Sherwin Williams 988 primer makes a difference compared to the unprimed alclad skins. Time will tell.
