I spent today fabricating the short flap pushrods. I bought a small cutoff saw at harbor freight which works great cutting tube stock straight. Once I had the aluminum tubes cut to length, I had to drill and tap each end in order to screw the rod end bearings in. This was a slow process. I must have screwed the tap into each end and backed it out a gazillion times to clean it before finally getting a 1" section of threads cut into each end.
